It's the real deal

Pros

The people are some of the most motivated, driven, and eager people that I have met and worked with in the past few years. Management truly cares about their employees and listens when they have concerns. Work with great clients, and really value long lasting relationships vs just being in it for the placement fee.

Cons

I really can't think of any cons that are company specific. The only thing I can come up with is this area at night isn't my favorite of that in San Francisco.

Great place to learn and be immersed in the tech community

Pros

I spent over 2 years at RockIT and was able to take advantage of my surroundings and what they have to offer. Some things I really enjoyed was being able to work with so many of the hottest and coolest startups in the Bay Area. Having a working relationship with CEO's and CTO's that have had a number of successful exits was an experience that is hard to top. Some other things I really enjoyed: 1). Having a closer relationship with my clients than other recruiting agencies 2). The ability to be able to travel all over the world for tech conferences (if you hit your goal) 3). Autonomy to work how you feel best suits your work style. There is no micromanagement here 4). Close relationship with the founders and team leaders...At the end of the day you get out what you put in.

Cons

The agency recruiting life is not made for everyone. It requires hard work, long hours, and a thick skin.

Tech Recruiting Done Right

Pros

Great way to learn the ins-and-outs of how a honest, hard working, and creative recruiter should be. Cody & Jane (coFounders) have done a great job listening and implementing employee suggestions and have navigated the startup waters as amazing as any captain could. Things are always changing but in the change, there have been so many opportunities to learn and be challenged. Snacks, Friday lunches, and paid team vacations to Mexico is pretty nice I guess... ; )

Cons

It's a young team (most folks here in mid-late twenties) so that can mean a more "open" work environment as well as some lack in mentors.
