Cons

Fast-paced work environment, which isn't a con really, as that is the norm in fast-growing startups.

Great place for growth

Pros

Many growth opportunities and flat hierarchy. A lot less top-down decisions than most other companies I know of, you get the chance to drive architectural, strategic and implementation decisions. If you're used to a slow pace though this may be a drawback for you, but if you are aiming for growth this is a great place to be in. The hiring filter has also been well tuned, you'll be working with smart and driven people.

Cons

Less structure means a bit more ambiguity and instability. That may be a con for some people.

A Great Place to Grow

Pros

Runa puts a strong focus on professional development. Clear career progression plans are in place, supported by regular check-ins and constructive feedback to help you grow. Your development is recognized through salary reviews and title changes, which makes you feel truly valued. I joined relatively early in my career and have been given full autonomy and ownership across multiple initiatives, opportunities I doubt I would have had elsewhere at this stage. Collaboration across teams is also a real strength. It’s a very mission-driven environment where everyone is aligned and working towards the same goal. There’s no “us vs. them” mentality, people work together regardless of seniority or title. The team is exceptionally talented, friendly, and welcoming, which creates a positive and inclusive workplace culture. There are also a wide range of social activities, both during and outside work hours, which cater to different interests. You also have a real ability to make an impact. You’re not just doing tasks but are involved in the strategic direction regardless of level and can actually see the difference your work makes.

Cons

It’s a fast-paced and demanding environment, which may not suit everyone. The work is challenging and can sometimes require working extra hours or late evenings. That said, the company offers flexibility in return and you do get out what you put in.
