Pros

Squire has been great to work for. I have great collaboration with my team and mentor, as well as regular meetings with my manager. The benefits at Squire are incredible and I have felt valued for the work and effort I have been putting in. It feels like my direct management and the management of the company as a whole truly care about Squire's mission and all their employees.

Cons

Squire's product is complex and multi-faceted, especially on an internal level. They are doing their best to improve internal training and ramping processes, but there has been cases where I haven't had all the information needed on a call or things that weren't covered in my training. (the management is aware of this and is actively working to improve the processes)

Pros

Real Career Growth: I've been at Squire for several years and have had the opportunity to grow and take on new challenges in different parts of the business. The company values internal talent and rewards those who step up. Strong, Values-Driven Culture: There's a deep sense of purpose here. People are passionate about the mission, and that creates an energy you can feel across the company. Transparent Leadership: Leadership does a great job of keeping the team informed about company performance and strategic direction. That level of openness helps foster trust and alignment. Work-Life Balance: There's a healthy respect for boundaries. We work hard, but there’s also space for personal time and flexibility. Competitive Compensation & Perks: The salary, equity, and benefits are strong. Impactful Mission: Working on a product that empowers barbers and barbershops is incredibly rewarding. You can feel the cultural relevance and community impact. Opportunities to Travel: With teammates around the world and hubs in multiple cities, there are chances to collaborate in person and gain global perspective.

Cons

Inconsistent Accountability: There are times when underperformance or bad behavior isn't addressed clearly or quickly enough. This can affect team dynamics and trust. Diversity Gaps in Certain Teams: The company was once a strong example of diversity in tech. That’s shifted over time, and some teams—don’t fully reflect the communities we serve. Leadership Gaps: While many leaders are exceptional, a few could show more consistency in how they communicate and treat others. Leadership style varies more than it should.

Pros

- The team in Austin is extremely close and pushes each other to do well and supports each other beyond what they are incentivized to do. - The company is on the right path under current leadership. - Always growing and improving on the small and large scale. - If you are going to work in the Austin office, buy in and you will be successful. You'll learn how to sell, and make a lot of money.

Cons

- Decisions can be feel reactive instead of proactive, but that is like most good startups. - The customers can be extremely challenging to work with but the sales team is continuously improving sales processes to address this. - Some sales people work remotely and this does feel awkward at times especially in terms of the amount of support received from management.
