Excellent Firm for Associates

Pros

The firm stands out for providing early in-court opportunities—you’re trusted with substantive responsibilities like handling conferences, depositions, and even trial work early in your career, which really accelerates your development as a litigator. Unlike some firms where it takes years to get real courtroom exposure, here you’re encouraged to step up and take ownership right away. The mentorship is also a huge plus. Senior attorneys are approachable and genuinely invested in helping associates grow. They offer clear guidance, actionable feedback, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions or brainstorm strategies. It’s a collaborative and supportive environment where you feel like your contributions matter, even as a junior team member. If you're looking for a firm that prioritizes professional growth, meaningful litigation experience, and a strong sense of teamwork, Sheeley is a fantastic choice.

Cons

The firm is a fast-paced and dynamic place to work, especially during high-stakes cases or trial preparation. While the workload can be demanding at times, it’s a reflection of the firm’s dedication to delivering exceptional results for clients. For those who are eager to learn and grow, this environment provides invaluable opportunities to build skills and confidence quickly.

Pros

This firm is wide open with opportunity for young attorneys. It has an incredible reputation in the healthcare industry and that is reflected in the amount of clients it serves. The partners are genuinely nice people who are looking to provide mentorship in return for competent assistance and dedication from associates. Provide that and you will thrive here. The office suite is spacious and top notch in a great building and location. Associates can expect a beautiful office with window views of downtown. The firm has a hybrid work opportunity and generous benefits that are unmatched. While the focus is on healthcare there are also opportunities to work on general liability cases involving construction, fire, flood, products and premises cases.

Cons

Still offices to fill and art to hang.

Pros

This is a wonderful firm for young attorneys. All of the partners are incredibly knowledgeable, are extremely nice, and all are enthusiastic about training their associates and furthering their careers. Whether you are seeking to begin your career in private litigation, or are seeking to transfer to a new firm, this is the place to be. You will learn substantive legal skills, how to interact with clients, and how to navigate complicated cases. As your knowledge and experience grows, so will your responsibilities and freedoms. I truly value and appreciate everything I learned at Sheeley LLP, as well as the professional and personal growth I experienced there.

Cons

I have no cons regarding my experience here.
