Pros

Pros of working at SmarkLabs: As I am an aspiring/growing leader, the CEO coached me as I grew my team, which was very valuable experience. CEO has great industry experience and provides guidance, support, and collaboration to ensure your success. A consistent value of being a student of the industry. Since marketing trends and tactics evolve everyday, it is welcomed and encouraged to learn all things marketing. Resources are provided or suggested to help you along the way where applicable. Working with varied clients. They look to you as their advisor, and you get to form strong relationships with them and bring your ideas to the table to help them reach their goals. Having a collaborative team. You get to work with creative, driven teammates who are flexible and always willing to help. Work/life balance. I felt that the workload was manageable given the client load and responsibilities for this role. Overall, you have the opportunity to be innovative, share your ideas where they'll be well received, and grow as part of the team in a healthy work environment.

Cons

Since the team is small, it's a fast paced environment. Having clear communication skills and strong organization skills are key.

Pros

You get to work with a wide variety of clients and there is never a dull day. The amount of responsibility you take on is dependent on your performance and how you conduct your business, so if you excel in both, the opportunities for learning and advancement are huge. It’s not every agency that you get to have such a direct influence on your clients and form real relationship with them.

Cons

With it being a startup, you have to be able to move fast while still making sound decisions. How organized you are will be a determining factor in your success.
