- You get hands-on experience with top-tier AV gear and luxury homes. - Some very talented coworkers who care about quality work - Work can be rewarding when projects come together cleanly. - Exposure to Savant, Lutron, Control4, and other control systems - Opportunities to learn on the job if you’re proactive.
Cons
- Organization and communication between departments is inconsistent. - Leadership often prioritizes speed over quality or technician input. - Frequent material shortages and unclear planning slow progress. - Field techs carry a lot of the responsibility for the final product with limited support. - Pay progression and recognition don’t match effort or skill level.
