Pros

- Honest people in leadership positions. Employees always understand the position they are in. They always know expectations for their work performance and they always know how close they are to a pay raise. They're also made aware if there's going to be any extra demands asked of them because of changes in work load. It might not be what people want to hear but they will hear it. - Realistic expectations of work life balance. Leadership knows and understands the limits of their employees. They'll ask whats needed of their workforce, but as long as the job gets done they're willing to shift schedules to better suit peoples personal needs. - Horizontal movement is always available. As long as an employee shows good work ethic and a quick mind they can do any work that becomes available inside that building. If "Jack of all trades" is what you want on your resume than this is the place to get it. - Emphasis on morale. The company has a large emphasis on treating their people right. Not a single man there will ask you to do something they haven't done themselves, and not a single one will talk to you in a way they wouldn't want you to talk to them.

Cons

-Vertical movement is semi-rare. Because it's a small company leadership positions only open when somebody leaves, or somebody gets promoted. And somebody only gets promoted when somebody leaves. -Skill/Experience Cap While employees can always get better at what they do, the type of equipment they work on isn't going to change unless a new customer comes around. It is very possible to improve your resume in administration and leadership, but technical expertise only goes as far as whats needed for the clients. However, if you come in new to the field its going to take a few years before you ever get near that point.
