Great WLB in my experience. Chip (CEO) is very down-to-earth and is great to work with because of his own technical background. His positivity and good nature seem to permeate throughout the whole company as well!
Cons
No major downsides at least during my short stint as an intern.
StockCharts has a very entrepreneurial feel and a strong team-based culture. A startup mentality drives most decisions and employees are encouraged to take chances, try things, break things, learn from mistakes. Office is just cool, with fantastic snack area/café and great location in downtown Redmond. Hybrid work environment with plenty of flexibility means good balance all around.
Exceptional benefits. Thumbs up.
Cons
Lack of corporate structure can be very liberating but also easy for underperformers to slip through the cracks. More frequent reviews would be a solid upgrade.
StockCharts has a unique company culture that truly puts employees and their lives first. With very flexible PTO policies, fantastic benefits, great compensation and an incredible new office right in the middle of downtown Redmond, StockCharts is a gem among Seattle-area businesses. The company feels like a startup in many ways, but with a thriving business that has been growing for over 20 years, it also brings the stability of an established company. Very low employee turnover and a positive environment make this a great place to work.
Cons
The company can be slow moving at times and is occasionally hindered by a team that tries to stay small intentionally. StockCharts is not a "grow grow grow" company. The management team is slow to hire, which restricts the pace of work.
