Great colleagues who are representative of the students we work with, strategic learning of our processes and a bias toward improvement + skills building.

Cons

Limited resources as a mid-sized non-profit operating in a difficult time for education and programs based on inclusion.

Pros

Theres a great mix of diverse experiences and backgrounds at SRA, and steadily improving each year. The work is challenging but I have a lot of autonomy to decide what my work looks like, and I’ve really expanded my network in the Bay Area college success space.

Cons

It’s an organization going through change at the management level while responding to systemic barriers, constant external pressures (ie FAFSA late release in 2024) and internal pressures (how to serve our mission with limited resources)

The staff is amazing, welcoming, and very willing to help. It is a growing organization that has a wonderful pool of staff members, networks, and scholars.

Cons

There are no downsides to working at SRA for me.
