Pros
It has the brainpower of a big tech company without the bureaucracy. Everything is strategized to a T. People are very approachable. Everyone in engineering works at the same level. The products and services are original, impressive and worthwhile to work on.
Cons
Ramp-up time requires a lot of additional effort. The learning curve is big. Not really a con, just something to be aware of.

Pros
The team is brilliant, welcoming, and so much fun to work with. The work everyone takes on is challenging but incredibly rewarding when you see the impact it has on customers, which makes celebrating the "wins" really meaningful. I had never worked for a startup before this, so I've found it really exciting to be surrounded by a team that is collectively focused and constantly pushing ourselves.
Cons
Not exactly a "con", but the work environment is a better fit for people who really like taking ownership of their projects and contribute ideas. We work very collaboratively and there's always someone to ask questions to, but I could see this being a difficult environment for someone who prefers to always work side-by-side with a manager.
