The type of work done at Thirdwave will keep you on your toes and surely bring out the best in you. Working with a variety of clients and a variety of technologies gives a wide base for professional growth. With the boutique size of the team, you can truly affect the outcomes of projects. At Thirdwave, I have been able to take pride in the work that is delivered to the clients as it has impacted so many in positive ways. Thirdwave is and has always taken the steps necessary to balance new technologies vs. the stable ones that are sure to support its clients now and into the future. A DevOps mindset is alive and well at Thirdwave. With even such a small team, they are very mindful of the efforts everyone needs to put into their work and not "pass the buck". They have a full build automation toolchain as well as a full stack of infrastructure managed as code. It's pretty cool they take such pride in the security and long term maintenance of their client products like they do.
Cons
With a high level of expectations on delivery, the gap in wants vs. needs can be a little blurry as the team wants to deliver the best of the best with all the gold plating, however project budgets are not always in line with those internal desires. Loft office space can get a little chilly in the coldest winter days, but a modest work from home policy allows to work at home on days like that too.
