Pros

Genuinely compassionate staff at every program that truly cared about helping others, performed to the best of their abilities to help clients and fellow coworkers, and admin management that listened to and addressed issues and concerns.

Cons

None. Cons are dependent on the program you're in. Overall, 99% of managers at every program I've interacted with are genuinely kind people who will advocate for their staff.

Pros

understanding management will support in whatever way they can (keep in mind that operations of programs still have to happen) Senior leadership is transparent as much as possible management will advocate for staff and clients

Cons

I do not have cons about the agency, but I will say a con would be that agencies like Hope Cooperative essentially report to Sac County. Therefore, Hope Coop can be tied with what they can or cannot do but that is because of county guidelines. Additionally, a lot of resources are tapped in Sacramento. supports with housing cannot happen in a few days. Hope Cooperative is supportive, but cannot fix all of Sacramento overnight. More of what is happening is systemic and change needs to happen at City and State level. Therefore, more resources can be given to the community.
