Pros

As a contractor you don't perform work for the company (but the client) and may have little or nominal interaction with Tanisha Systems Staff.

Cons

This is only the 2nd contractual position I've had as my employment has mostly been full time employee status. Nonetheless, at the point when my employment was terminated, I was not paid for the full hours I worked (13 hrs. short so far). There is literally NO ONE who is taking the initiative to see that this is corrected. Most of my emails went unanswered and phone calls were no more productive. Presumably someone should/would be able to see to it that this is readily resolved, but very little interest has been displayed. Although I provided the timesheet approvals a SECOND TIME (after receiving them from the client), no action was taken. Upon sending an email with my attorney copied and stating I will be filing a complaint with the Dept. Of Labor, the timesheet was forwarded but still no response provided. Does anybody know what kind of company operates like this? No... I mean really "What Kind"? So I checked ADP and found full compensation provided for my final pay. I won't do this again! Here is what the LAW stipulates as shown on Dept. of Labor site: when an employee for any reason whatsoever is laid off, or whenever an employee quits, resigns, or leaves employment for any reason, the employer shall pay the employee all wages due not later than the regular payday for the pay period during which the employee's termination, suspension or cessation of employment (whether temporary or permanent) took place, as established in accordance with section 2 of this act; or, in the case of employees compensated in part or in full by an incentive system, a reasonable approximation of all wages due, until the exact amounts due can be computed; provided, however, that when any employee is suspended as a result of a labor dispute and such labor dispute involves those employees who make up payrolls, the employer may have an additional 10 days in which to pay such wages. So now I'm on my way to file with the Dept. of Labor.
