Terrain focuses primarily on work overseas in China, and in China projects move at a breakneck spread compared to the us. Because of that, we are given large projects that we must finish stages of in a fraction of the time than what is usually the case. That means sometimes there are almost-overnight workdays to get drawings done, which do suck. But that’s the nature of the work we do, and honestly we do some REALLY awesome projects both in China and in Houston (where our other location is). Take it what you will. I have learned a TON of stuff in a short period of time because of this subject of work. It’s exhausting sometimes, and I don’t plan on staying for more than 2 or 3 years, but it has been an amazing learning experience for me and will definitely propel my career as a landscape architect into the future.
