Pros

People are awesome, some of the best you’ll ever work with. People are truly passionate about water and leadership is good. Remote work was the best of both worlds.

Cons

Salary is definitely lower than in consulting. Remote work is no longer a pro since 2025. So sad.

Good culture and benefits. Managment in TxGIO is fantastic. People genuinely care about their work. Cool location in the Capital Complex. Work/life balance.

Cons

Traffic getting downtown. Pay could be better, but not as bad as other Texas agencies.
