Pros

I started my journey with Trainline a little bit by accident, four years ago when I got out of hospitality and needed any job to pay my bills. I joined the customer service team and discovered office life for the very first time. From the begining, the strongest assets of Trainline has always been the People and the Cutlure, which I have experienced straight away with amazing support while I was learning about the CS role and the company as a whole. I pretty quickly move up a first step, joining the backoffice supporting team and exploring more and more of the different layers of the company. I can safely say that all the managers I've worked for have always been very supportive and encouraging when it come to progressing your career and guiding you in the right direction. With internal moves being pretty frequent and valued by everyone in the company. Now my experience at the heart of the company has brought me to the employee experience team, where I am very lucky to keep learning and growing my career in a direction that fits me and fulfil me. Managers and recruiter seeing the potential and the talents that can lay within their own teams is truly a sign of a company that cares about their employee.

Cons

Thinking about the change to our flexi-first approach, bringing poeple back into the office 60% despite it being strongly booed by most of the employee can sometimes makes us feel that, even tho the company care about us, they may not always listen to us and the points we may want to try to bring up. While I am sure the higher levers have their reason and know better than me the impact it can have on the business, the results is still that it leave us feeling like our opinion do not really matter.
