Transcend is solving a real problem that is both a business (compliance) problem and a human (privacy) problem. The people here are really committed to solving the problem in the way that is best for the end-user. This means they tend to be ahead of the law, giving them a competitive edge over companies that are only focused on compliance. Also, just as importantly, the people who work at Transcend are intelligent and humble. I have never liked my co-workers so much as working at Transcend.
Cons
It is still a fairly early stage start-up. This means that there is a fair amount of risk (will the stock options actually be worth anything?) and can be stressful at times.
- No ego culture set by leadership—means no politics, everyone empowered to step in and drive impact.
- Fully remote - allows ability to work from anywhere.
- Tons of interesting work to tackle - never feels like you're sitting around waiting for assignments
Cons
Like any early state startup, there's a lot to juggle. That said, work life balance is good—and management is supportive of helping reprioritize.
