Pros
A challenging but rewarding field training program. Once field training is complete and released as a solo officer you earn the respect of being a well-trained professional.
Cons
A growing agency with numerous collateral duties but limited specialized assignments. Due to its size, some lateral to bigger agencies seeking a chance to earn specialized assignments.

Pros
They hire good people. Have good equipment. The department encourages on going education and you will be payed more for college degrees.
Cons
The department " encourages " citations and reports to be written. If you are at the lower end of the list for writting citations you will be called out on it. You are better off giving license plate light citations instead of driving around neighborhoods looking for prowlers.
