Pros
American map and software company based in Detroit area with an operation in California. Solid fundamental growth plan based on legitimate customer demand in autonomous driving (AD). Ushr's products solve AD problems that competitors' products cannot. OEMs know this and thus, the business outlook is very promising. Great staff. If you are a subject matter expert, this is a great place to work and your skills will be put to use. Many staff come from bigger companies where above-average work was not valued. They are happy to be able to flex their strengths. Friendly environment. A good work-life balance is achievable. (flex hours, etc.).
Cons
Long development cycles in Automotive means work on specific commodity is feast or famine. AD is hot right now, so there is a LOT of work. The deadlines are important for maintaining business or locking in new opportunities. If you don't like to work or can't work the Automotive cycle with its deadlines, then you should look elsewhere.

Developing a new way to create HD Maps for automotive, challenging work to automate a historically manual process, freedom to create ideas on how to solve problems, flexible working environment (office/home), exciting opportunities for growth due to customer pursuits and positive feedback on quality of current product
Cons
Due to fast pace, scaling the operation and adding qualified people remains a challenge, sometimes people hired don't match the growth and direction of the company, working on deliveries sometimes requires late nights but it will be worth it once we win new business.
