Pros

Working here has been an amazing experience for me. I feel that I have had the opportunity to learn and grow here in a way that I most likely wouldn't have been able to at any other company. If you are a hard and reliable worker, that will be recognized and the sky is the limit for what you can accomplish here. A Few Pros: - Growth Opportunities - LOTS of experience in different areas. If you have an interest in something and express that, the chance to dive into that area of work will be available for you to explore - No micromanaging - Good benefits (PTO, healthcare, vision, dental, etc..) - Great boss who cares about the people who work for them and listens to feedback - Working for a small company = ability to make a big impact - Amazing team to work with!!!

Cons

- If you aren't a self starter and self motivator, working here might be challenging for you. I don't necessarily think this is a con, but there definitely is an expectation put on ALL employees to find out what needs to be done and get it taken care of.

Pros

Voonami is a great company to work for. I feel cared about not only as an employee but as a human being. Management truly supports and celebrates individual growth and I have seen this on numerous occasions from all kinds of different roles in the company. Ben (CEO) will even spend large amounts of his time helping develop IT rockstars that are hungry to learn. The amount of attention to personal development that I have seen in this company is unmatched in any other job I’ve had. There is a really good balance of solid expectations mixed with patient coaching. This place attracts some of the best teammates I could ask for in a culture that is both fun and fulfilling. The compensation is generous. There is no shortage of growth opportunities and you will learn more here than you will anywhere else in that same amount of time. I love being part of a company that really wants to do good work for their customers. I also like to build and create in ways that make a difference for a business. There is no shortage of that at Voonami. It’s hard work, fast-paced, but it’s a place where people who love IT will thrive. If you are willing to put in the effort and hard work, you will go far here. This company has changed its staffing schedule multiple times over the years to allow for the employees in the support role to have a better work-life balance. The employer will listen to constructive feedback and make the changes necessary to improve the lives of those that work here. I’ve seen it numerous times in numerous occasions. Some other Pros: -Ping pong table -Snacks and drinks provided daily -Christmas Party with some awesome prizes (Nintendo Switch, Traeger Grill, Apple Watch, etc.) -Everyone in company gets an expense card -Free gym membership -Company vehicles for on-site techs -Lunches provided frequently -Good benefits for a smaller employer -No micro-managing -Hard work is recognized -Free lower bowl tickets to various sporting events -Firehose of knowledge amidst all who work here I feel seen and heard at this company and I’m grateful for the opportunity to work at such a good business.

Cons

-With growth comes some growing pains, but I see the dedication to overcome the pains and commitment to continue to make Voonami an amazing place to work. -While this probably doesn't seem like a con, it can still impact the company in different ways. This is a pro in the sense that the employer gives many chances to their employees because they care about them and want to see them succeed. However, it becomes a con when the person’s inability to deliver impacts the team with their negative attitude. Luckily the con side of this happens very infrequently and pros outweighs the rest on this subject.

Pros

I consciously sought out a smaller company knowing that this would give me more breadth and opportunity in my role. This was absolutely true, especially on the sales side. While the technical team is bigger and has some more established procedures and processes, the sales side has historically been significantly smaller and more subject to change. I enjoyed this ambiguity - especially because once you have management's trust you have more leeway to operate how you'd like to in order to be successful. Additionally, management can potentially help you modify your role as your interests or needs change.

Cons

The drawbacks are the other side of the coin. Working without processes or without much attention or support can be frustrating. While management was willing to help when asked, proactive check-ins were not nearly as frequent as they would be in other sales jobs - you have to ask for something if you need it, sometimes multiple times. The company is definitely more technically-minded than sales-minded, which is great for a technical role, potentially less great for a sales role, although I often times enjoyed being alone to operate on the sales front.
