Pros

The newsroom is getting regular training both in house and from seminars done by our consultant. The company even send producers to training off site including IRE. Anchors have even been sent to leadership training. Station also has a strong NPPA feel for photographers. Sends them to NPPA camp every year. There is a strong sense of promoting staff internally. Production Assistants get the opportunity to become Producers and Photographers. Reporters get opportunities to become Anchors. Producers get opportunities to get into management.

Cons

Because it is a smaller market you still have to deal with some immaturity from some of your co workers.
