Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Feb 2012 – Reviewed Apr 15, 2012
Interview Details The phone interview consisted of a few "how did you handle this situation" questions and some equal opportunity stuff. I was then passed along to an HR person who informed of the HD job fair at the Saratoga, NY store where I would be scheduled for a 1:1 interview. The 1:1 interview also had some "how did you handle.." type questions but also some questions related to home repairs and garden stuff to see if I had any idea at all about the products. I was informed immediately that I was accepted contingent upon a background and drug test. I was given the drug test form and set up for an appointment immediately. After everything was completed I received a phone call from HD to go to the orientation at the store.
Interview Question – Describe an experience you had with a difficult customer/client and how did you handle it. View Answer
Negotiation Details – There was none. I was hired as a temporary seasonal worker-$9.25 per hour.
