      Cons

I've observed that AXA XL tends to hire many family members, partners, or even their own children, which creates a sense of exclusion for others. It feels like an insider's club, often leaving newcomers feeling like they’re on the outside immediately. The environment also seems to be predominantly female, giving it a somewhat "women’s club" atmosphere, where men often feel marginalized or ostracized. Additionally, there is very little formal training provided. Typically, the only guidance comes from whoever is available at the moment, with different people offering their own version of "training." New hires are often thrust into work immediately without a clear understanding of expectations or career progression. There’s no defined path for advancement, and longer-term employees—those with over five years—seem to receive special treatment, which can further create a sense of inequality within the company.

      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

It is in many ways employee-friendly, providing opportunities for personal growth, as well as networking. Hierarchy isn’t siloed as much, and the organisation promotes approachability at all levels, especially for leaders

      Cons

Not always the best paying, and in some functions, professional growth can become slightly stunted.

      Bad Company to Work For

      Anonymous employee
      Current employee

      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Stable job for an insurance professional

      Cons

Poor pay recently laid off a lot of senior workers who spent 20+ years with the company. took a lot of knowledge and skill with them. despite the layoffs, there is no career opportunities as they continue to hire from outside the company. upper management has a disconnect with the day to day of employees.
