An industrial placement is what you make of it. I had a really varied team from all walks of life and I was fortunate enough to go on a businees trip abroad and across the UK. I'm very glad to have done it as part of my engineering degree and it will help me in the future. Also a big group of other interns to meet and socialise with.

The reality of an engineering design job in a large company such as Airbus is that it is primarily a desk job, with safety and processess limiting your work and they are what you spend most of your time on as a result.
