Pros
- Reaping the benefits from recent tech modernization, growth investments, and talent/leadership upgrades - Teams open to cross-functional sharing, continuous improvement, and adopting best practices (non-integrated silos & not-invented-here mentality are fading) - Workforce Solutions offerings include truly differentiated products like The Work Number, VINE, and Total Income -- bolstering an already-solid Credit Bureau legacy business
Cons
- Most roles now require relocation to Saint Louis or Atlanta, which may be an issue for some - Google Suite shop instead of MS Office - Interview process can be long (but having/ensuring high quality colleagues makes this worth it)
Pros
I recently went through the recruitment process at Equifax and had a wonderful experience. From the very beginning, the hiring team handled everything with a high level of maturity and professionalism. What stood out most was how friendly and comforting the team was. They kept me supported through every stage, ensuring I was well-informed and comfortable. It’s clear that Equifax values a positive candidate experience. I’m excited to join such a great team!
Cons
None at the moment, looking forward to join the team.
Pros
Easy interview process and got hired quickly.
Cons
Management played favoritism and had trust issues.
Pros
My interview process was seamless and handled by a real person. Every reach-out was followed by when I could expect the next, each task was clear, and I always had a status. The recruiting team made me feel valued. One year in - I totally love working for Equifax. Having come from a large consulting company, working for a company with a tighter focus is genuinely interesting. And working for a company that is relevant outside of work makes it more interesting. The people here are great and there's lots of areas of engagement outside of one's role.
Cons
Really...none that I can think of!
Pros
Strong Team & Talent: I was immediately impressed by the high caliber of the engineering team. Their deep institutional knowledge and technical expertise are significant assets, ensuring high-quality output and stability. Clear Strategic Vision: The direction and focus of the product/platform I oversee are well-articulated by leadership. This clarity helps in prioritizing tasks and aligning the team's efforts with broader company goals. Commitment to Modernization: There is an evident, active push toward cloud adoption and modernizing legacy systems. This presents an exciting opportunity for an SDM to lead transformative technical projects. Effective Onboarding Structure: The initial onboarding process was robust, providing necessary access, introductory meetings, and resources, which significantly accelerated my time-to-productivity.
Cons
Process Ambiguity in Dependencies: Some cross-functional processes, particularly those involving dependencies on other business units or regulatory compliance reviews, occasionally exhibit ambiguity or lack documented ownership. This has occasionally led to minor delays in unblocking the team. Documentation Gaps: While the team's internal documentation is solid, the overall architecture and cross-service integration documentation for the broader ecosystem could be more standardized and centrally accessible. Meeting Overload: The effort to gather context and build relationships has resulted in a high volume of meetings, sometimes impacting focused time for strategic planning and direct team mentorship. This is a common challenge in a new role but warrants optimizing.
Pros
I am 45 days in and I absolutely love it here. Although there is lots to do in the onboarding process I feel very supported by my leader and team. I would highly recommend this company.
Cons
Nothing comes to mind as a con
Pros
Well structured training before starting Supportive and thorough onboarding process
Cons
Too much information very quickly
Pros
Excellent and Smooth Onboarding process. Friendly and stress free work environment Supportive and encourages learning with work.
Cons
Difficulty in managing time and connecting with offshore peers
Pros
None at all. I can assure you that.
Cons
I have always seen job positions in this company but I have never applied directly because I have always heard bad things about them. Unfortunately for me, I ended up working here against my will through my main company, which was offering services to Equifax. - Be careful installing something "forbidden" in the laptop, even if it is a simple application, they take it as the most serious security threat in the universe and open a process for you. - You don't have access to apps or chats from your cell phone. You are condemned to be 100% on the laptop. - The QA area is boring as heck. They use old-fashioned and rigid methods. It takes 30 minutes just to add a couple of test cases to the tool. - The automation framework sucks. They use a framework that no one uses, stiff, horrible, zero flexibility, complicated to configure. Apart from the fact that the tool sucks, its repositories are poorly configured and badly done by their own QA's... - You need to stick with their processes/tools. Don't waste your time suggesting something new. - Even though I am a Senior SDET, I have to follow the orders and processes of an Intermediate person.
