      Does HonorHealth offer bonus pay?

      HonorHealth reviews

Good employer but has areas for improvement

      Patient coordinator
      Former employee
      Phoenix, AZ
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Hiring bonus, lots of benefits including accident insurance that helped me a lot, set schedule, eventually able to work from home

      Cons

My first annual raise was .14 This was in 2023 which is absurd. For being a locally-ran corporation it’s unfortunate they refused to be slightly flexible with my schedule so I could pick my kids up from school a couple times a week. I had to go part time or quit because of that. Larger corporations have been much more family friendly.

      Pros

Great coworkers Good holiday and call pay

      Cons

Management does not care about their employees outside of the walls of the hospital, they provide no flexibility. If it doesn’t benefit them they will not work with you. They will create new positions and job descriptions out of thin air but when you ask for them to work with your schedule in light of life happening outside of the hospital they claim that their hands are tied. Also their sign on bonus program is a trap. Unlike every other hospital their bonuses are not prorated, meaning that if you leave a month early they will require that you pay back the full amount paid to you pretax! You may not have seen the full amount but they’ll make you pay back the full amount. Worse than that they don’t tell you this when offering you the sign on bonus. If you accept it they send you a e-signature link, you sign and then you see your bonus after 60 days of your start date. It is never mentioned again. The worst part is that the page you sign to accept the bonus and the full contract itself with all the stipulations are different, so if you’re assuming your offer sounds too good to be true, it is. Cutting hours isn’t an option either. If you try to cut hours you will also be required to pay back the full amount, which is strange because in those scenarios they give you no incentive to stay even if you want to. Hospital is not a well-oiled machine, including surgical services, which is wild to me. Departments do not work well together. It’s a fight to get patients where they need to go and you hold patients for hours in procedural areas where they shouldn’t be held and as you can imagine it not only greatly delays the work flow, and makes us procedural nurses feel like we’re working on a tele floor, but it also makes patients very unhappy. Also, they don’t do a great job at staffing. On a slow day you have way too many staff but on a very busy day you are short nurses and help and are stretched thin. They have nurses that are willing to come in to help but don’t because they refuse to pay them call pay to pick up extra, which only makes sense when you’re asking nurses to work more than their full time requirements and additional call requirements. They rather let their nurses drown for the day than offer other nurses an incentive. Worst part, they will squeeze 50-70 cases in 6 hours and then low workload you once they got a handle on it and no longer need you. No hours are guaranteed in procedural areas. Count on being low work-loaded a lot and chewing through your hard earned PTO.

Poor leadership, favoritism, bullying, low pay, lack of honesty.

      Nurse

      Business outlook

      Pros

Clean facilities, average benefits, holiday bonus if you are lucky

      Cons

Horrible management, lack of leadership skills, pay is awful for nurses and they change your schedules without even telling you about it. They say you get holiday pay but you really don’t it’s just somehow worked in to your pto. But then you barely earn enough pto to even take four days off a year after all “paid” holidays.

      Pros

I liked the location and easy commute

      Cons

As an RN you are put in very dangerous situations and overworked. The pay was awful. The managers make huge bonuses and staff nurses make next to nothing. And risk their licenses daily.

      Pros

coworkers are great, variety of specialties to work in, overtime bonuses can be big.

      Cons

nursing supervising lacks knowledge on what is going on about their unit. They are most concerned with how the numbers look on paper. back in 2022 there was a major shortage of nursing staff and techs. Techs start at 6am
