Pros
Great for entry level roles looking to start in the industry.
Cons
Kairoi presents itself as a fresh, innovative alternative to larger management companies like Greystar. Unfortunately, the reality is that it operates much the same — and in some ways, worse. Despite claims of valuing internal growth, they consistently hire externally for roles that should be opportunities for existing team members. While rapid growth does demand increased staffing, it shouldn’t come at the expense of loyal, long-term employees. I’ve personally witnessed multiple colleagues have to threaten to resign before finally being offered the promotions or raises they deserved all along.
Nepotism is also very apparent. Leadership roles are frequently handed to individuals with personal ties to senior management, regardless of qualifications or experience. This creates a frustrating environment for dedicated employees who are working hard, only to be overlooked in favor of less experienced but better-connected individuals.
Training is virtually non-existent. If you’re self-motivated, you might survive here — but only because you’ll have to develop yourself entirely on your own. The “training program” consists of generic Zoom meetings that lack any real guidance, mentorship, or connection to your actual work.
Poor communication and a clear lack of compassion from leadership only compound the issue. You’re treated like a number, not a person, and support is minimal at best. Management styles are inconsistent and extreme — some leaders are completely non-confrontational and avoid providing direction altogether, while others resort to excessive micromanagement that leaves no room for autonomy or growth.
If you’re looking for a company that invests in its people, communicates clearly, and fosters genuine internal development — keep looking. Kairoi’s culture prioritizes appearances over substance, and the cracks beneath the surface show quickly.
