Toxic leadership culture and unsustainable workload

      Sales manager
      Former employee
      Taipei
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

The company has strong brand recognition and competitive products in the market.

      Cons

Over time, the internal working environment has become increasingly difficult due to leadership and management practices. Senior leadership often appears more focused on internal visibility and political positioning than on building a sustainable commercial strategy or empowering teams to succeed. Some leadership roles have been filled without strong relevant industry or sales leadership experience, which has led to inconsistent direction and frequent shifts in priorities. As a result, many strategic responsibilities end up being pushed down to individual contributors without adequate support or alignment. Work-life balance is another major concern. There is an implicit expectation that employees remain responsive during evenings, weekends, and even holidays. Frequent after-hours communication creates a culture where constant availability is normalized and burnout becomes common. The management style can also feel highly top-down. In some situations, communication from leadership may come across as dismissive or unnecessarily critical, which creates a stressful and sometimes intimidating environment. Employees may feel uncomfortable raising concerns or offering constructive feedback. One of the most discouraging aspects of the culture is the imbalance in accountability. High-performing employees are often expected to take on an excessive workload, while underperformance is not always addressed consistently. Over time, this dynamic can lead to frustration and a sense that strong contributors are not adequately supported or recognized. Overall, the workplace environment can be particularly challenging for employees who want to focus on building the business rather than navigating internal politics.

      Pros

A positive work culture fosters collaboration, open communication, and mutual respect among team members while promoting work-life balance and professional growth opportunities.

      Cons

A poor manager micromanages their team, fails to provide clear direction, dismisses employee feedback, and creates a toxic environment that leads to low morale and high turnover.

      Great culture

      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Sound people and mentorship, great culture (serious enough to do good work and take pride in it, but acknowledgement there's more to life too), excellent office, good opportunities.

      Cons

Informal onboarding can leave you confused, but there's always someone to answer a question. Relatively flat company structure can mean progression pathways don't feel clear.

      Great Growth Opportunities

      Pros

Great flexibility and hybrid working. I think Logitech is very accommodating to those with family and personal commitments. We also have great benefits. Logitech has a great work environment, where mistakes are seen as growth opportunities (of course it may depend on the manager). There is never a dull moment, new products, projects, programs are being implemented constantly. The only constant is change, which is great for those who thrive in this kind of environment.

      Cons

Sometimes the pace is too fast.

      Pros

The rank and file are great and try to work as a team. The technology is fun and has good name recognition. If you get in and get out, it is a good resume addition.

      Cons

Logi seems lost strategically and is burning and churning it's employees with constant reorganizations that seem more political than strategic. Logi used to be an innovator, but now struggles to keep up to date even with its core technology. Management takes employee feedback, but rarely takes action to benefit employees. There is very little chance for career growth or even salary growth. Exceptional at making what should be fun, painful. To be successful you must be a yes-person.
