Pros
Manageable for full-time undergrad at DACC. Evening hours allowed me to study in the early evening and then unwind by stocking and looking at pretty clothes. All that I did was unpackage new items, tag them with the anti-theft sensors, fold or hang them, and put them out on the floor. Because I was out on the floor a lot it was mandatory that I show up in cute outfits every day which I also loved about the job. I never got that dressed up to go to class. I was tested to see if I had the potential to become a sales associate but failed because I was shy and hated having to ask every customer who walked in if they needed help finding anything. I would have no problem doing that now that I'm older though. I got a discount but I can't remember how much it was. I also didn't buy very many things given my salary. I really liked all of my co-workers and the team was very diverse.
Cons
My scheduled days and hours changed every week. I was 19 and it was my first job ever so it was hard for me to keep track of when I worked on top of keeping track of my course schedules. I mixed up the days and times I had to work on 2 occasions. I got a call from a co-worker asking if I was coming in on one of those occasions and went in about an hour and a half late. The second time no one called me and I was a no-show. I showed up the next day when I thought I was scheduled and my co-workers let me know I was scheduled for the day before. I was let go for it. It was totally fair and the manager at the time was really nice about it.
