How are the career development opportunities at Paycom?

Extremely fast-paced work environment where goal setting alongside the set objectives to achieve these often do not align (especially from senior leadership direction, which creates confusion and delays), high employee turnover and a lack of knowledge transfer, inconsistent onboarding experiences between workgroups, and a lack of a hybrid or remote work option.

At Paycom, I feel very well taken care of. We get great benefits and the culture is fun and supportive with many opportunities for professional development and career growth. I also have excellent work-life balance, but I can't speak for every department or role. Workload probably varies. Overall, I have not had many past experiences where I felt that my employer truly cared about me. Paycom is different. It's the best job I've ever had!

Because Paycom is a growing company, there are LOTS of changes and you have to be ready to roll with the punches. That being said, they've never implemented a change I couldn't handle.

Leadership can be hit or miss. Most have you best intention at heart.

There are plenty of opportunities for lateral and vertical advancement as well as overtime and incentive pay.

Management can often lose sight of why OT is needed and resorts to hounding staff wondering why OT is occurring. There is constant change in the upper management, and even C-levels, of multiple key departments. This leads to a complete lack of direction past a day to day grind.

I've been working at Paycom for going on 7 years now, and I can confidently say it's been a life-changing experience. From the moment I joined Paycom, I felt an overwhelming amount of support by those around me. The company culture is truly unique and focuses on employee development, recognition, and teamwork. Here are a few things I'd like to highlight: * Paycom has helped me grow not only professionally but personally. I have become a better person in my everyday life because of the communication skills I have evolved during my time at work. * This company has provided me with more than I have ever imagined for myself and my family. The opportunities, benefits, and support system in place are truly exceptional. * Paycom allows you the space to be involved in things outside of just work. The gym has been a game-changer for me. Basketball was my entire life, and I now get to continue that passion in the workplace with the leagues. * The PTO policies have allowed me to always be involved with my littles, which is incredibly important to me. I feel grateful to be a part of the Paycom team. The company's commitment to its employees' growth, well-being, and happiness is truly inspiring. Any job can always have their growing pains, but I truly love what I do. I feel valued at this company, and feel that what I do has a true impact.

Traffic sometimes can get backed up.

Leaders invest in you, co-workers care for your well-being, unique career opportunities for the OKC metro, fitness center, benefits, bosses that will advocate for you, talent development opportunity, interesting projects, decent work/life balance.

Lunches have decreased in quality, compensation can be below industry standards for some positions, leaders and managers can get tied up in meetings, almost not enough parking, sick time has to accrue.

Just the traffic around the campus

Paycom has a great work environment for account managers while being supported by a dedicated, like-minded team of individuals. The combination of a competitive compensation structure, career advancement opportunities, and the ability to affect positive experiences for clients is a huge win. Additionally, the work can stay at your desk as my leadership's expectation is for my non-work life to have balance!

A potential con is there inability to have a real remote work schedule available for these positions; even through advancement.
