It's all about Management (or rather mis-management)
Pros
Cheaper Health Insurance rates than other organizations. Great perks if you use commuter rail or bus services. Extensive 'extra' benefits packages.
Cons
Lower pay than other companies in the area by 30%. Lack of coding expertise or knowledge among the IS teams or recognition of employees with those skillsets to utilize them internally. Contractors do all the 'heavy lifting' for this organization. Behavioral Health Insurance is ONLY through QUEST Behavioral. Quest coverage is lacking and under-developed or children. Many regional providers are not in network! Nepotism and Employees with ties to being students and interns get promotions, not the most qualified or experienced team members. THE SLOWEST HIRING PROCESS in the tri-state area. It took 2-4 MONTHS for the hiring process--it's TWO WEEKS everywhere else.
