Pay is relatively low, no career development for the position

-Flexible hours -Attempts to show appreciation for the interpreter. E.g. They are beginning a trial of increasing pay (+$0.01 ~ $0.03 / min) based on your tier (the reviews you've received + number of hours you worked for within a pay cycle or so). But it's currently just for Spanish interpreters.

-No career development -Minimal communication and support. You don't have a manager, you don't have a main source of contact with propio. You can submit tickets for issues, however.

The individuals on my team were very skilled and friendly.

The culture is just toxic. There is no recognition for what you do well and there is extreme pressure for perfection with the fear of losing your job if you make a mistake. Upper management is more focused on increasing profits than they are with providing a good product or taking care of their employees. They'll prioritize pinching a few pennies even if it's to the detriment of the people who use their services or the people who work for them. There is a concerning disregard for the regulations the company should be abiding by. But people who have voiced concerns about that were fired and nothing was done to fix the issues that were brought up. You can also find better pay and benefits anywhere else and be able to work for a company that is more forward-thinking than Propio.

I worked with Propio as an interpreter, and it was a valuable experience that allowed me to grow both professionally and personally. Propio offers a steady flow of assignments, providing opportunities to work in various settings, particularly in medical and professional environments. This diversity helped me strengthen my skills and adapt to different scenarios effectively.

One area where Propio could improve is in providing regular feedback and professional development opportunities. As an interpreter, having constructive feedback can help improve performance and refine skills. More training or mentorship programs would be beneficial for long-term growth.
