Very bureaucratic, slow and not very flexible

Cons
Little promotion opportunities, changing department is not liked or encouraged. Little salary increases
Pros
- world wide network if what you are looking for is to discover the world. - relatively fast pace regarding promotions, compared to other Middle Eastern companies. - annual ticket to any destination, ID90 and d ID50 for the staff and direct family members, plus 10 buddy pass90/50 for friends.
Cons
- very heavy company culture. with mandatory minimum rest before duties, a strong reporting/fear culture.
Pros
Fly to great destinations. Tax-free salary, free accommodation and transportation. Annual leaves of 30 days. Promotion is fairly quick.
Cons
12 hours minimum rest in based country before your next duty and has curfew ( may no longer applied now). Not allowed to live outside your assigned accommodation unless you are married. Fear of losing job when there are problems happend in the flight, could be customer related, safety and security related, could be anything..
Pros
Good Company Good Salary Fast Promotions
Cons
High Flying Hours but again its a good thing
Pros
Good salary, accommodation’s provided and tax free. Offers plenty of training, structured materials- manuals and such. Promotion is better than other airlines. Qatar in general is pretty safe so security is good.
Cons
I believe they’ve change a lot now since CEO (Al Baker) was replaced. The previous leadership is good, always some bad reviews and comments but objectively speaking base on company growth- it was handled well. There were challenges and unexpected turn of events especially 2020, but still sorted. Internal struggle from staff well..the usual stress in flight- difficult customers, discrepancies with solidarity pay, questionable treatment from higher management etc. But to be honest, the cons are always a part of any company. Crew usually say- we are just a number here we’re easily replaced. This is true if you choose to be an employee anywhere really. If I made a comment 3 years ago around the time I left, I have so many things to say too. Well, it passed so better keep it. Though I agree on all the frustrations the rest of the former employees pointed out. Especially the Cabin Crew Department.
Pros
You don’t have to pay rent/bills which allows you to save more money. Fast promotion to business, possible even within one year.
Cons
Always monitored. The salary, working hours and how much you have to give of yourself was not worth it for me in the end.
Pros
Benefits are awesome! Free apartment (no rent or bills to pay). free transportation to work and back. International medical insurance. decent pay. fair promotion. Amazing training.
Cons
A little strict but when you do your job well you will enjoy every fligh.
Pros
Great possibility to travel to exotic destinations for free. You will work and relate with people from all over the world which will help you to appreciate and learn more about the world.
Cons
Not a great work/life balance. Exhausting schedules, and roster. Change flights with other crew is subjected to approval from a poorly designed system. Random criteria for promotions, Some of the office Performance Managers are not qualified for the role.
Pros
- Free accommodation, transportation and electricity - Insurance covers almost everything but you have to pay 10-20% of the bill. - Their system is pretty organized and fast.
Cons
- worse pay and more workload than other airlines - extremely short layovers and hotel meal allowance - no overtime and no bonus - the accommodation is free but after years of use, they expect the appliance and furniture to be in original condition, otherwise they will charge you a extravagant amount. - company reporting culture is toxic. You may get fired or get warning letters when it is not even your responsibility. - Too many unnecessary and unhelpful middle management. The ones who have been here for 20+ years are the most toxic, especially in corporate office. - Gives 28 days sick leave per year but if you use more than 5 days you are on the radar for termination. - Promotion isn’t based on merit, it is based on luck and availability.
