Flashback from 1990's-2000's - Revamp Culture into 2020's

SMCFD is an overall great group of firefighters, inspectors that really care about community that they serve. Good benefits was a perk!
Cons
The administration should be examined and revamped. Sometimes, an individual can be at a company put in a position of power and over-exerts their authority, This results in operating in a manner that is not productive for the employees. If you are fairly new to the job market, you do not want this to be your first job. It is not a good look at how administration i.e; long term administration specifically management, should treat employees. If you are a high achiever, professional, and experience this might not be the place for you to consider your career. I recall administration sharing with me that we should limit conversations with firefighters. It was 2022 not 1922 this is just professional dialogue. In addition I was told to look away when/if a firefighter is getting ready to leave on a call. I thought it was a joke, but my supervisor was so serious.
