What is the salary like at Sparklight?

If you dont have a family i guess over time. They will definitely have you work it no matter what.

Micromanaged, horrible supervisors in place, mandatory over time and travel in some cases an hour annually a half away from primary location. No training, will have you do work that is other people job titles, no promotions, no career growth, terrible and I mean terrible pay, raises they say are performance based not is not true.

Steady work, work from home

Low pay for the type of work, high queue times, low opportunies for advancement.

Good benefits, decent leadership (direct supervisor)

Everything else. If you work in a retail location be prepared to work the call center as well it is not localized calls plus chat. The metrics are generalized rather than by area or position type. The pay is horrible (15/hr) and you’re essentially doing what was 3 different positions and departments for no additional pay.

Culture. Coworkers are great and make the job better

Not having a set schedule is unprofessional I could get a job at mcdonalds and they let you pick your hrs for $14 an hr. Base pay is low, it's half of what other jobs are offering. Constant abrupt rule changes and policy changes no firm answers. Feels over worked an under paid. The worst is the work life balance it basically doesn't exist not a good job for parents or those caring for others. No senior discount.

Great place to start a career in the tech industry. Lots of opportunities to grow.

Low pay and high workload

Management is great, friendly people, great Benefits

Base pay is very low

Pays for tools and clothes and boots. You get a company truck you can take home. Given free internet and tv and landline phone if you live where Sparklight services.

Pay is poor. Company pretends to care about employees. On call 24/7. Usually, you alternate with another tech but unfortunately my other techs were either quitting or out on FMLA due to injury. They add as many calls as possible onto your route. Call center is terrible. Will tell customers anything. Sales reps are no better. Majority will say we do things that we do not and makes customers upset. When tools get old or hardly work it's like pulling teeth to get new ones. Routing is done via AI. It will sometimes route you 30mins away when you have another call less than 3 mins away. Dispatch takes a while to get ahold of at times and will sometimes argue with tech and at times useless. Have to pick up slack from other field technicians due to laziness or incompetence. Metrics are a joke. Ex: If a tech gets sent out for anything and gets another call back to the same place within 30 days no matter the reason it counts against you. If box goes bad or cable gets eaten by animal or someone needs help connecting to wifi or anything you can think of it counts against you. Metrics help determine what little raise you get. Company financially is doing terrible.

Take great care of you and a lot of fun if you like the type of work

Lower pay scale makes it hard

This company has a decent benefit package and pay.

Run the workforce too lean and over work staff. They are horrible at dealing with competition leading to loss of customers. They don’t treat their front line employees as important they act like they are disposable and will take up to a year to fill a vacant slot.

There really are not any. The atmosphere her has gotten so toxic, managment is always horrible to you!

Management is basically the worst. Basically the worst company i have ever worked for in respect to managment and salary.
