What is working from home like at The Salvation Army?

The Salvation Army is a faith based organization and preaches the bible in the work they do. The hours are accommodating and allow for a strong work/life balance.

There is no opportunity to work from home. Typically understaffed so working many roles at one time. No room from salary increase and very little room for growth.

No structure Performance based on co workers and no measure for success

The benefits are great. Free food.

However the higher ups have almost zero experience in the jobs they are managing. Very difficult to move up in the company. Zero diversity. Old school technology. Zero ability to work from home. No freedom with vacation days. Black out months, no ability to request off during holidays. Mostly white staff. The board consists of mostly white men. The major decision makers and higher ranking officers are all white men. Religion based policies and agendas.

The site is close to home.

Poor management and leadership despite committed employees.
