Pros
Work life balance is okay, you don't have to take work home with you but you need to be 'ON' almost all the time at work. There are some opportunities for advancement academically, but they're pretty limited unless you're deadset on becoming a teacher or working in education for the rest of your career. Professional development is mediocre
Cons
Morale is incredibly low among co-workers. Emotionally taxing nearly every day. Poor communication among/from management and administration. Very understaffed (It's not uncommon that we're out of ratio throughout the day, but the center continues operating despite higher-ups knowing that staff is overworked and under-supported). Overall, low satisfaction at this job despite the fulfillment from working with under-served children.
