If you work the bar and ring up a customer at the cash counter you don’t receive any % of the tip they leave you. Torchy’s does not disclose this to even the store managers. In my short 4 month employment here, I’ve estimated Torchy’s has cheated me out of well over $600 by having me clock in as a bartender and work both the bar and the cashier counter without a proper cashier. This has been the majority of my shifts and it took another employee coming forward and forcing our store manager to contact payroll that they even admitted this, and ultimately told us we had no claim to the money we earned, that we worked for. Also, your health insurance if you signed up through the company only covers visits to Urgent Care clinics, not actual hospitals or any sort of private practice.
