Pros
Warehouse personnel are friendly and helpful
Cons
I stuck it out with this shister company for 10 routes and delivered more than 368 packages ( most were very heavy meal boxes like Factor and Hello Fresh) to homes, apartments ( often on the 3rd floor w no elevator), apartments with inaccurate gate codes, no building numbers and locked pkg drops w no key codes ( becoming a wild goose chase adding unnecessary time ) or pkgs addressed to closed businesses that can’t be delivered, requiring calls to useless support folks, and returns to the warehouse by a certain time or get penalized. The only positive element of VEHO are the warehouse employees where drivers pick up their packages to deliver. They are friendly and very helpful especially when new to the gig. Everything after that is all negative from the absurd estimation of route time hours and pay attached to that route. One can take the estimated hours given and double or triple them…….and the pay then becomes less than $10 an hour and of course out of that comes the cost of gas and wear and tear on one’s car. This low pay also doesn’t include the 30-40 minutes at the start scanning the packages & loading them in some organized fashion in your car around the route stops in the awful heat of the warehouse.
Most of the time, the logistics are fairly accurate but 9 of the 10 routes were 30- 50+ miles away ……and of course one has to get home too. The aforementioned support is awful……and most of the time one receives pat AI responses and tossed around to multiple support folks and ALL done by text messages. Meanwhile, the driver cannot continue the route until that particular problem is solved. The last route I ever did for Veho, the support or lack thereof added more than an hour of wasted time sitting and waiting for help. The last couple of routes I did involved a supervisor who recommended I file a fare review because the routes were so underestimated and so much time wasted by support. When I filed them 1 week apart, there was a disclaimer that the "response could take UP to 10 days". The first claim was filed 6 weeks ago and the second one, 5 weeks ago……..and still no courtesy of a response, must less any fare compensation!
This company is just plain awful and they are not motivated to change a thing because drivers/warm bodies come and go! The turnover must be an astonishing number! At the end of the day, you can make more money slinging burgers at McDonalds and not spend it all on gas for your car!
