What is the hiring process like at Walt Disney Company?

I started working with the boutique a few months ago and the interview process was a bit more intense than other customer-facing roles that I have served previously. They are looking for positive, motivated cast members who are excited to make a difference in a family's vacation. You must be ready with a strong storyline and a fast learner of the hairstyles. Transformations must be prompt without sacrificing any storytelling for the child or family.

There is little time to improve. You either get it or you don't. There is a lot of learning on the job and on stage rather than traditional instruction.

During my internship I was really given the opportunity to develop as a professional by really getting involved in the work. I was given work I could really sink my teeth into rather than smaller tasks which might be more typical for interns.

The hiring process was slightly long, so don't be discouraged if you don't hear back for a while.

I work in the streaming division, and the environment and culture is top-notch. Everyone I worked with was knowledgeable, capable, and worked well as a team.

Contract-to-hire process in my division was frustrating and unfortunately marred the overall experience; this may have been a function of larger economic concerns at this time.

The overnight leaders were super helpful with everything and almost all my trainers were amazing

The interview process takes forever and depending on your park you may have to leave your house way earlier than you normally would.

There is great leadership and people. Benefits are good as well as work-life balance

Competitive role to get, competing with highly qualified individuals since everyone wants to work here, so HR process is lengthy.Pay is also relatively low for how competitive the role is.
