Applied online via LinkedIn. The recruiter was OOO when the application was reviewed, so I ended up meeting the hiring manager first. The mandate of the team and the need lined up well with my experience. I continued on to the rest of the interviews in the process. There was supposed to be a take home assignment, of which I asked about making sure it was not something that could be used for real life work (as this is an ongoing issue in this space). I was assured it was a hypothetical and we continued. My interview with a senior marketing leader left much to be desired. My answers were either too long or too short for them and they seemed to be uninterested in chatting with me at all. After this interview I was told they decided to go on with other candidates. Overall a disappointing process. Was difficult to understand how many interviews and with who. I was never told topics or focuses for conversations. As usual, many touchpoint and people from recruiter to someone else scheduling calls occurred.
