I applied online. I interviewed at 23andMe (Mountain View, CA) in Sept 2017
Interview
It starts with a phone call with the HM to talk about background, interest in the company and projects. Then there is a coding phone screen, and other design questions to gauge one's analytical skills. If you manage to do well on the previous two interviews, they bring you onsite to meet the team. They are looking for strong coding, analytical and social/culture fit at the same time. Also one of my interviewers pointed out that brute-force solution is perfect as per their requirement.
I enjoyed meeting and working out solutions during the onsite interview. Everyone I met was very amiable and grounded. The most annoying part is communicating the interview outcome with a standard email without any particular feedback! Really, there is no way to call, and talk to the recruiter.

Question 1
-recursion, DP, leet code easy to mid-medium
- basic questions about the technologies used
They were all around great to work with. It was really simple, straightforward and transparent. I let them know my timeline and they were very accommodating. I would definitely recommend applying to work here. At the very least the opportunity to interview is great.

Question 1
When was a time you had to solve a technical challenge?
I set up a phone interview with them after speaking with HR and they never called me back. The recruiter completely forgot about me, so I had to schedule for a second time. Very unprofessional

Tree/Graph question. where you had to sum the levels of each node
I applied through other source. I interviewed at 23andMe (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2020
Interview
The technical questions were difficult. Felt like Leetcode medium and hard but overall a fair interview. The virtual interview experience was new to me but they did a good job executing it.
