I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at 2Is (Walpole, MA) in June 2018
Interview
1) The application itself was different, asking for adjectives which best described me. I have never been asked that before on an application, but besides that, it was fairly normal.
2) Less than a day after I applied, I was asked to take a personality test, which asked me to check different adjectives which I thought described a strong candidate for the position and then which described myself. It took less than 10 minutes and was interesting to see the results.
3) A day after that, I got an email for a 30 minute phone interview. I don't remember the exact questions asked, but there were no technical questions and were simply about my past experiences, personality, etc. The person I interviewed with was very nice and said that she would get back to me within a week regarding the next step in the process.
4) Within a few days, I heard back from them; they wanted an on-site interview. Within a week or so they flew me out to Boston all expenses paid, but this is where everything went sour. They sat me in a conference room for over 6 hours where I was interviewed by about 6-7 people. I was even supposed to have an interview with the president / CEO of the company, but he was too busy to interview with me that day. They said they would reschedule that interview but never did.
Each interview was about an hour long, and each person asked almost the same questions but in the end expected different responses across interviews. They all also asked for questions at the end; I ran out of good ones by the second person and had to keep repeating the same thing over and over again. I was asked a few basic technical questions (HTML and FizzBuzz), but then one person asked me to solve derivatives and do QA testing. Overall, the people were nice but their method of interviewing left me so exhausted and frustrated by the end of the day.
I found out a week later that I did not get the job - no feedback on my performance or anything.
