Fresh out of college, I was searching for an entry level position at virtually any companies and firms because I was seeking to strengthen my professional experiences, and came across 2K Manhattan's job posting (sales representative, as they coined the position) on Monster.com. Within days of sending my resume, they called me to schedule an interview. The interviewer was nice and friendly enough, very articulate and professional. But the position was not discussed in detail during the interview, which I found to be a little sketchy, and right after the first round the interviewer immediately invited me in for a second round interview to come in the very next day (which I found alarmingly desperate and fast-paced on their part, just something seemed off and shady in his way of asking me to come back in). Seeing that I had other plans the next day, I told him I wouldn't be available and requested we schedule the second round sometime within the next week from that day. He was very pushy with scheduling an interview as soon as possible - as if me taking a longer time to consider this position and the company might reveal something a candidate like myself would not find appealing anymore. After I gave in and agreed to come in for a second round the next day, I went home and did more background research on the company, and it turned out that it was a door-to-door sales position! Things he vaguely mentioned during the interview made sense when I realized it would be a door-to-door gig (e.g., "we are looking for someone who is physically and mentally driven to build this company alongside management"; "we need someone who can start immediately"; etc.). I immediately declined to come back for a second round, as the position seemed unfit for my career interest.
