Interview was straight forward with questions regarding data gathering and dashboard building. Interviewers were direct in what was expected and open about what the first 90 days would entail. Plenty of opportunities for questions and provided clear answers.

Question 1
How would you handle gathering data from various sources to be usable for report building?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at 3Rivers Federal Credit Union in May 2025
Interview
I would like to share a detailed account of my recent interview experience, as it was both extensive and revealing. This process spanned a significant period of time and involved multiple stages.
Initially, I applied for the position and successfully completed all required assessments. Following this, I was asked to undergo a background check, which I complied with promptly. At this stage, everything appeared to be progressing smoothly.
After completing these preliminary steps, I waited approximately three weeks before I was scheduled to meet with senior leadership. While the delay was somewhat prolonged, I understood that executive schedules can be demanding and allowed for the delay without concern.
However, the situation on the day of the interview was particularly disappointing. I arrived 15 minutes early, as is standard professional courtesy, and was kindly greeted by the front desk staff who asked me to wait in the lobby. Five minutes after the scheduled interview time (11:00 a.m.), I was informed that there would be a slight delay. I continued to wait patiently.
Ten additional minutes passed, at which point a team member from the loan department approached to ask if I had been assisted. I explained the situation, and he graciously went to inquire on my behalf. After another 15 minutes, he returned to inform me that the interview preceding mine was still in progress.
At this point—now 11:30 a.m.—I politely informed the staff that I needed to leave due to a prior obligation at 12:15 p.m. I assured them that I would follow up with the recruiter to reschedule the interview.
That same day, I contacted the recruiter to explain what had transpired. I followed up twice thereafter to check on rescheduling availability. Ultimately, I was informed that the company had decided not to move forward with my candidacy.
In hindsight, I now view this outcome as a positive development. The experience provided me with meaningful insight into the organization’s professionalism and internal coordination. I share this not with ill will, but as a courteous heads-up to others who may be considering opportunities with this company. If this is indicative of how candidates are treated during the hiring process, it may reflect broader issues within the organization.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at 3Rivers Federal Credit Union (Fort Wayne, IN) in Apr 2025
Interview
There was no interview. They skipped to a background check. I applied online 4/10 and haven't heard anything. No phone interview. No emails. No in-person interview. Yesterday I received a third party email asking me to click a link to start a preliminary background check, and then respond to the email once I did for the next steps in the hiring process. The email was from an address that was abnormally long, and though it named an alleged employee, it was not their work address, and the email was not formally signed with a name/phone number/company logo. I responded to the email and asked them to send me an email from the bank's own domain. No response. I reached out to the third party investigation company and asked them if the request was legit. They said they would reach out to 3Rivers. I called 3Rivers, but there phone system said it didn't recognize my phone number (I'm not a customer) and I was asked to enter my social security number even to leave the alleged employee a voicemail! What happened to here's my phone number please call me back? I then sent an email to a generic email form on the 3Rivers website (where customers can leave feedback). I got a generic email from a customer support person of some type who said they would forward my concern to the hiring department. It's been over 24 hours and 3Rivers has yet to confirm or deny that they asked me to undergo a background check having never spoken to them before, having never had a phone interview or in-person interview, and having never received an offer of hire. This despite the fact that as employee, they would expect me to recognize customer requests that deviate from standard protocol, suspicious requests for personal information, refusal to provide applicable ID, suspicious emails, and so on. If they are in such a hurry to hire people that they need to conduct background checks before ever giving a single interview, then they don't need over 24 hours to own up to whether the request for a background check was legit or not. I have withdrawn my application.
