I arrived 30 minutes early to my interview at 8 to 8 Dental in Lynnwood (I had applied to their Arlington location but they ask all candidates to interview in Lynnwood... I had to make a special 35 minute drive to Lynnwood just to apply for this position). I was told to show up at least 10-15 minutes early in order to fill out an additional work history form, that also had additional questions on basic math and basic spelling of vocabulary. As I was filling out the work history/questionnaire, I noticed their was another candidate sitting in their lobby filling out her papers as well and I could see another candidate come in after me to fill out their papers.
It took me about 20 minutes to fill out the three pages of information that they wanted to be finished; still leaving me an additional 10 minutes early for my interview. I felt very good about all my information and qualifications for this position. Of course the candidate before me finished ahead of me and waited about 5-7 minutes after she turned her papers in and she was called back for her interview.
As I was waiting I got anxious for my interview that was supposed to start any minute, but sat there for an additional 45 minutes waiting for the first candidate to be finished up with her interview. At that point, I was okay with waiting a little longer because I thought I was next in line.
After the 1st candidate was sent out another 10 minutes or so passed and they called for the candidate who came in after me. I was very shocked to see that I wasn't the next candidate, so I waited once again..... another 45-50 minutes passed. At that point by I was very close to walking out and leaving this unprofessional work environment.
After the 2nd candidate was sent out, I was still sitting there and I ended turning to one of the administrative ladies who was talking to her coworkers and asked them when I'd be next. They all stopped, all 4 of them and said "you're interviewing?" I was very uneasy then, one lady tried to hand me another form asking me to fill it out and I took a deep breath and let them know, I came in, stated i was here for an interview.. AND filled out the paperwork ALREADY... (and of course I turned it in as soon as I was finished) I told them I waited an additional hour and a half with no one giving me any information on my interview status.
After saying that, they grabbed their admin. manager and she came out and apologized for such a long wait. I still had to wait an additional 10 minutes for her to grab her interviewing materials and then she called me back.
To top off this interviewing process the interview lasted a whopping 15 minutes, which included a full tour of their facility. I think she asked me 3 questions...maybe two. This interview was hands down, one of the most impersonal, unprofessional and unorganized interviews I have EVER been to.
