They ghost you once you reach the final round of interviews. No curtesy of an update. Very surprising and unprofessional. Their hiring process needs to be reviewed. It’s a clear sign of how they are likely to treat employees once hired.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at A.T. Cross (Providence, RI) in Dec 2024
Interview
The first interview was strange, I was on camera but the interviewer wasn't because they said they were walking around their office. They seemed a bit distracted. When we discussed salary they said that it was better to pay me $40k because then I could get overtime and get closer to $50k, instead of just paying me $60k. (they said, "legally we don't have to pay you more than $40k). However, the role seems intense and covers much more than $40k. I got the sense that the company is drowning and they are trying to find someone they can pay super little to do alot to try and survive. I could understand part time at 40k, but asking for overtime is too much.

Interview
Poor communication following final interview. Panel interviewers included a non-functional expert who ideally should be focused on culture and fit rather than ability to deliver in role; I did not feel this was the case
