      Graphic Designer/Production Artist Interview

      5 July 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Wilmington, DE
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at AAA Club Alliance (Wilmington, DE) in May 2022

      Interview

The interview process was a heaping 5 rounds of interviews (for what they call 'entry level' work). The process took around 2.5 months and spanned a total of 6 hours. After a phone screen, Interviews went to the direct managers, then to peer designers, and onto two rounds of interviews with upper management. I met with a total of 8 people throughout the process, most of the meetings taking 30-45 minutes. After the final interview, I was kept on the hook for nearly 3 weeks waiting for a response. At that point I had assumed they went with another candidate, which ended up being the case. Things were great up until the end; great communication, conversations, and acceptable time lines. Unfortunately I ended up with the typical ghosting and radio silence that you see all too much these days.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

A lot of general questions about work and personal interests which was nice, everything felt like a conversation. Some of the most pointed questions were from the designers themselves, asking about current trends and inspirations - and the reasons why behind them.
