I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at AACR (Philadelphia, PA) in June 2018
Interview
I spoke with an outside recruiter at first then I was asked to go in for a face to face interview. When I arrived, I was asked to take an assessment test. I was unaware of this test but what are you going to do.
I had what I thought was a really good interview which lasted well beyond what I was told was the allotted time. I take that as a positive sign. I was told that the next step would take a few weeks due to additional candidates and vacation. OK.. fair enough.
I followed up with the recruiter several weeks later and heard nothing back. I followed up with him again. Again, nothing. I then followed up with the main person with whom I met . . .NOTHING. I have received no communication, one way or the other, from anyone regarding this position.
I saw the position re-posted a few weeks later. I knew going in that this position has been opened for almost a year . . which I always find very telling and a red flag. Something is very wrong when an organization cannot find a candidate and fill a position for a year. This was not a C-level spot. I'm not concerned that I did not get an offer although I believe I would have found the job interesting.
This organization has a reputation in the Philly area for being dysfunctional.. and it has had this rep for a lot longer than Glassdoor has been in existence. This CEO is a known quantity in this market and not for her positive management style.
