Interview
I was invited to a recruiter screen but it did not progess further than this unfortunately. However the experience was still overall positive and cordial. Standard questions included summary of work history and basic questions related to qualifications and role specific activities.
Stage 1 is usually a recruiter or HR screening call (15–30 mins) covering basic eligibility, salary expectations, notice period, and a broad overview of your background.
Stage 2 is the main technical and competency interview, typically 45–90 minutes with the Software Engineering Manager (your hiring manager) and likely one of the Principal or Senior QA Engineers. This is where the STAR questions you've prepared will be used. Expect a mix of technical questions and behavioural ones mapped to the personal attributes in the spec.
Stage 3 may or may not exist — some organisations add a short practical task (see below) or a second panel interview with a wider stakeholder
